Brief job description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice with V12 Tech Limited, an IT Support company based in Buckinghamshire.

This role will involve providing 1st line desk support services to our customers and managing and prioritising the ticket system. The role will include providing support and troubleshooting for software, hardware and hosted issues and queries.

We are looking for someone who has completed their A Level (or equivalent) and who has had some \'customer facing\' work experience as this gives a good grounding in the sort of people skills that this role requires (in addition to the technical aptitude)

The role will initially be based at the office at The Cottage, HP5 3RB but there is an expectation that over time once you are comfortable and competent in the role that you will work from home at least some of the time.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

• Provide a focused firstling help desk support service to all customers.
• Managing ticketing system and escalating issues where needed.
• Prioritse tickets based on business impact and severity.
• Provide technical support for software/hardware/hosted issues.
• Installing and configuring new installations and hosted deployments.
• Troubleshooting issues over the phone or using remote software.
• Perform daily operations such as server monitoring and proactive checks for our customers.
• Ensuring customer documentation is kept up to date.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

• Strong interest in IT.
• Customer service background.
• Telephone experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A keen interest to learn new skills.
• Strong logic skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Able to work in a team effectively, but also work as an individual on tasks.

Future prospects:

The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

Training to be provided:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we\'ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

• Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure - physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
• Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure components.
• Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
• Maintain regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
• Support the information systems needs for your business.
