Job Description

BettingJobs are seeking an IT Director for a land-based casino operation. The role will oversee the full management of the IT department, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development projects, and technical support. The position requires strong leadership, regulatory awareness, and the ability to drive technological evolution across all departments.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and cybersecurity operations
Manage the technical support function and supervise a team of web developers
Prioritise development projects and ensure timely delivery
Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations, including Law 25, PCI standards and audit requirements
Draft, implement, and maintain IT security policies and procedures
Collaborate with internal departments to implement IT structures and support operational needs
Lead technology projects, including budget management and timeline planning
Support executive management with digital transformation initiatives and long-term IT strategy
Act as project manager and analyst for software development initiatives
Design and administer network architecture and IT infrastructures
Manage software licensing, procurement, and vendor relationships
Ensure continuity, redundancy, and stability of critical systems
Conduct performance monitoring, enforce service agreements, and oversee partner integrations
Promote emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation
Recommend strategic investments in systems and software
Lead weekly team meetings and communicate priorities effectively
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of networking (VLAN, VPN, firewalls, enterprise Wi-Fi)
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and virtualisation
Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs
Cybersecurity skills including MFA, monitoring, and vulnerability management
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, ERP, POS systems, and ticketing tools
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage and prioritise teams and projects
Strategic mindset with the ability to align IT with business objectives
Preferred Certifications:
ITIL 4 Foundation
CompTIA Security+
CISSP (asset)
CCNA or Fortinet NSE
PMP or Scrum Master
