Job Description


We are looking for an experienced IT Distribution Product Lead to join our friendly team! You can contribute to this new team by helping the business modernise digitising process and automation to departments across the business as we modernise the Application portfolio to align our M365 solutions with SAP which will be delivered in Phases over the next 2-3 years.

The role will be responsible for developing the distribution product roadmap with the business teams and technology teams and will be:

  • Managing prioritisation and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact, performance, and support
  • Working cross-functionally with business and technology teams to ensure timely and quality release of product versions and enhancements
  • Identifying the key benefits and value of distribution and supply chain products. This will be used to create and maintain product roadmaps and collateral (including news, promotional content and training materials with relevant teams).
The key accountabilities are:
  • Understand, design, develop activities to deliver a suite of distribution and supply chain management products from product definition to planning to production release to operations
  • Develop a roadmap for distribution management products based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research and your own industry insight.
  • Work closely with Business, the IT Engineering and platform teams to deliver products that align with business strategy, meet business needs and are delivered to a consistently high-quality standard.
  • Manage the total cost of ownership for the products to ensure the best value for the business and aligning to agreed standards.
  • Identify the benefits and value of products. This will be used to create and maintain marketing plans and collateral (including web updates, product training materials and sales training with relevant teams).
  • Manage the relationship with the business to guide and shape the delivery of product solutions to meet their existing and new process and capabilities
  • Work with other IT product managers to ensure we deliver a suite of products and services that ensure business success through MVP/POC to production ready solutions
About You

We would value the following knowledge, skills and experience:
  • BSc in Computer Science
  • Significant experience delivering integration services for a large FTSE 100 or Fortune 500 company
  • Professional or equivalent order to cash and distribution management and technology-based qualification
  • Significant experience of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management Systems (WMS), Automation systems and Processes that support warehouse operations such as SAP finance
  • Ability to drive delivery and performance of order to cash processes across including all the sub-processes
  • Ability to write the business case for investments and gain internal approval and write and understand product requirements and user stories
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders and third parties to drive delivery through a community of practice using multiple teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • To be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition
  • Ability to perform product demos to customers and develop relationships with our customers
  • Lead the virtual product team to ensure delivery of agreed objectives and deliverables and monitor, report and improve product and service performance
  • Promote the product to the right user audience through demo and learning sessions, webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms
  • Develop and deliver product training to IT support and BPs
  • Manage development and marketing projects to deliver to product plan
  • Collate digital feedback from customers and users
  • Represent the voice of the customer in senior level management meetings
  • Evangelize the product and strategic delivery internally and externally
  • Be recognized as a leader in the business and build relations with business stakeholders
  • Deliver a regular review of product roadmap, in progress, major issues and statistics for your product(s) to the community of practice
  • Proven record of making sound judgments, effective leadership, including the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; building teams and consensus; getting things done through others not directly under his/her supervision; and working ethically and with integrity
