Job Description

PECO is looking for an Apprentice Level 3 Information Communication Technician to join them!

You will learn on-the-job from our in-house IT experts using software and hardware technologies to help your development and progress in the world of Information Technology. You will be assigned a manager and a mentor who will support you throughout your apprenticeship. They will ensure you gain the right experience and skills, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification, with both local and remote learning. We partner with local colleges to ensure your Apprenticeship is delivered to required national standards. This is a new role for PECO and is reflective of our desire to grow our IT team. We anticipate there will be further development opportunities within the IT team available for the right candidate in the future.

Responsibilities




Using your passion for technology, paired with people and communication skills, you'll indulge in a variety of tasks and learn as you go. These include:

Support the IT team in enabling effective IT provision for PECO's clients. Build relationships with clients to enable effective support. Understand priorities and manage IT workload accordingly. Set up user accounts, implementing password changes and resolving work area prob-lems. Install and test new hardware. Perform device repairs and upgrades where required. Identify and resolve hardware or software faults. Complete software installations on workstations and laptops. Complete routine hardware/software maintenance tasks. Install and configure relevant software and hardware as appropriate. Support the roll out of upgrades or new systems or applications.

Additional Duties



Hardware configuration including routers & IP handsets. Setup & deployment of laptop and PC equipment. Setup & deployment of mobile devices, including handheld scanners. Office 365 application management including training. Documentation of tasks to improve Operating Procedures.


Hours: 37.50 per week

Training Provided:


You will attend Exeter College one day per week during term time to work towards your Level 3 Information Communication Technician apprenticeship.



Additional Information:


Five GCSEs, (English, Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject).

GCSE or equivalent 4/c or above in Maths and English.
