Job Description

EORI UK Limited has been formed to deliver critical projects to ensure smooth trade between the UK and EU post-Brexit. The company has seen a significant ramp-up of the resources. Users work from the office and remote locations. The IT Engineer will be the first point of contact for addressing IT-related issues faced by end-users and will also help in supporting third-party software such as Amazon Connect, SharePoint, Azure etc. On-the-job training and mentoring will be provided.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:



Manage our technical support queues from triage to resolution by providing technical support and guidance to EORI users, responding to inquiries and requests, and completing them promptly to be compliant with response and resolution SLAs for all tickets. Troubleshoot and diagnose system problems and deploy solutions. Liaison with third parties and government systems to report and resolve issues reported by operations. Managing company endpoints for tasks such as policy, configuration and application deployment as well as managing our Windows Image (OOBE). Managing virtual endpoints and assets hosted in cloud architecture. Patching and vulnerability management for OS, firmware, networks and company applications. Assisting in the onboarding and offboarding of staff. Management of licenses, accounts and groups in Microsoft Office 365. Proactive monitoring for the health of live systems and carrying out Level 1 -3 analysis and Identifying and reporting on risks to cyber security. Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to fix issues in production environments and creating new documentation for new issues found. Participating in incident management including major incident calls to resolve production issues and following principles of ITIL support framework. Monitoring IT-dependent platforms investigating warnings/errors and escalating to subject matter experts (SME) as needed. Maintaining and improving network infrastructure and security. Identify opportunities for automation to improve end-user experience and satisfaction. Piloting, evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies as per business needs. Creating reports for analysis by upper management and IT. Following and enforcing our IT security policies, ISO 27001 security standards and cyber insurance. Conduct regularly audits on systems, assets and access.

Key Skills:



A self-starter who can follow issues through an issue lifecycle from triage to resolution. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Have an analytic mind with a good ability to spot trends and repeat problems. Has attention to detail when investigating, and reviewing issues, audits and performing tasks. Robust investigation skills with a methodological approach to diagnosing, identifying and resolving issues. Understanding of Office 365 applications, Azure AD, & Intune administration. Knowledge of Cisco infrastructure tools and networking principles. Awareness of ITIL and cloud computing frameworks. Understanding of SQL & PowerShell, knowledge of other programming languages is preferential. Knowledge of ISO:27001 Information security or equivalent standards is beneficial. Experience in restoration and repair for hardware assets is beneficial but not required.
