Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled

IT Engineer

to join our growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft environments. You'll be part of a highly capable IT team, offering a strong platform for continued learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain a range of physical and virtual servers (VMware), including patch management and Windows updates. Ensure high availability and security across servers, networks, and office hardware, maintaining system resilience and compliance. Manage user accounts and permissions within

Active Directory (AD)

and

Microsoft 365

, adhering to best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, providing end-user support and assisting with IT setup tasks (e.g., desk setup, peripherals, etc.).

Essential Skills and Experience

Proven experience in a technical support or IT service delivery role. Strong knowledge of

Windows Server 2016+

and the

Microsoft 365

cloud platform. Hands-on experience with

Microsoft 365 Admin Centre

and

Azure

. Proficiency in supporting

Windows 10/11

desktops and laptops. A solid understanding of networking principles, including

TCP/IP

, switches, routers, and VPNs.

Desirable Skills

Familiarity with

Veeam Backup

solutions. Experience working within a

Windows domain environment

. Willingness to work occasional weekends or outside normal hours when required.
