About The Role
Group IT are recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Architect on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting into the Enterprise Architecture Manager you will be the technical lead in the IT infrastructure domain on multiple IT projects; proposing and implementing infrastructure solutions across a variety of platforms (networks, desktops, mobile devices, distributed platforms), and ensuring these solutions fit with strategic infrastructure requirements.
As the Infrastructure Architect, you will play a critical part in shaping the long-term infrastructure strategy by developing and maintaining a comprehensive infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals, technology trends and operational requirements.
Skills & experience you can bring to the role:

• Has a broad deep understanding of the IT industry, technology and trends specifically infrastructure dimensions of network, servers, hosting, data storage, cloud
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Able to articulate ideas, solutions and recommendations across all levels of the organisation.
• Highly motivated with excellent time management skills and able to work under own initiative.
• Takes ownership of problems and issues and proactively resolves them.
• Able to work on their own or as part of a team
• A logical thinker with strong analytical skills
• Influences with tact and diplomacy
• Cloud platforms & Infrastructure (compute, storage and networking) including AWS and Microsoft Azure (Both IaaS and PaaS)
• Understanding of Microsoft stack including O365, Azure AD, AD, Windows Server, SCCM and Windows Client
• Understanding of Cisco network technologies
• Understanding if *NIX operating systems.
• Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking
• Strong technical leadership and governance experience
• Has managed and worked with 3rd party suppliers
