About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic

IT Infrastructure Engineer

to join our growing tech team based in Padiham. If you're eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and work alongside experienced professionals, this could be the perfect role for you.

You'll play a key role in supporting and maintaining our infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, virtual environments, SQL systems, and networking tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in IT and a passion for learning and development.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting and maintaining Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Assisting with the management and deployment of virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox. Performing basic SQL database tasks including queries, maintenance, and backups. Handling core networking duties - including IP configuration, DNS, DHCP, and firewall support. Monitoring and responding to system alerts and incidents. Participating in infrastructure improvement projects and system upgrades. Keeping documentation up to date and following best practices.

What We're Looking For

Some experience working with or supporting: o Windows Server (2016, 2019, or later) o Linux systems (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS) o Virtualisation tools and platforms o SQL databases and queries o General networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, etc.) Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Good written and verbal communication. A team player who's keen to grow with the business. IT certifications or related qualifications are a bonus.
