About the Role

Are you looking for an IT role with a difference? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

IT Infrastructure Engineer

with deep expertise in

SharePoint administration

,

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

, and

third-line support

. This role is critical in supporting and evolving our digital workplace, ensuring seamless integration, secure access, and high availability of enterprise applications.


In this role, you will be joining a dynamic team where your skills can truly make a difference. We work with luxury automotive brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Porsche, and have a centralised internal IT team to support our 21 dealerships over the South West and Wales.


This role will be based either in Swindon or Bristol and will involve regular travel to our dealerships along the M4 corridor. Please note that the role is on-site.

Job Opportunity

Lead the general administration, configuration, and optimisation of

SharePoint Online

environments. Monitor and respond to security incidents in real-time, coordinating with the SOC team to contain threats and minimise impact. Collaborate with 3rdparty security operation centre to ensure governance and best practices. ?Manage and troubleshoot

SSO (Single Sign-On)

configurations using

Microsoft Entra ID

, including Conditional Access and Identity Protection. Design, implement, and support

Application Proxy

setups. Develop and maintain

API integrations

with Entra ID and other Microsoft 365 services. Act as a

third-line escalation point

for complex infrastructure and application issues. Document technical procedures, configurations, and architectural decisions. Participate in project planning and delivery for infrastructure-related initiatives, including new dealership sites.

Essential Skills

To thrive in this role, you'll need proven experience as an IT Infrastructure engineer or similar role, with at least 5 years of experience operating in a retail environment.


We are looking for someone with the below skillset:

Proven experience as a

SharePoint Specialist

including permission, security and document management to ensure that the environment runs smoothly and efficiently. Strong understanding of

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD/Identity)

, including: SSO and federation Application Proxy API permissions and Graph API Solid background in

third-line IT support

, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues. Experience with

Microsoft 365

,

Intune

, and

Endpoint Manager

is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Demonstrable experience of organising a busy and varied workload requiring self-motivation and excellent time management skills. Great attention to detail and a natural flair for problem-solving. A Full UK Driving License, and willingness to travel to our dealerships as required.
