We are exclusive distributor for Stormforce and Zoostorm, an authorised Microsoft distributor, as well as being a master distributor for Asus, AMD, Corsair, Razer, AOC, BenQ, MSI, Phillips and GigaByte. Situated in Warrington at our 76,000 square foot warehousing facility, our operations reach a wide customer base situated around the world and range from large retailers and system integrators, to individual end-user consumers.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and other hardware and software components.

Develop and implement strategies for infrastructure capacity planning, performance optimisation, and disaster recovery.

Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services through proactive monitoring and maintenance practices.

Team Leadership

Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.

Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and mentorship to team members.

Security and Compliance

Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO/IEC 27001.

Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project managers, to align IT infrastructure initiatives with business objectives.

Communicate infrastructure status, issues, and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.

Project Management

Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines, coordinating resources and stakeholders as needed.

Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Innovation and Improvement

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization's IT infrastructure.

Identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement and innovation, driving initiatives to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of best practices and new technologies.

Qualifications and SkillsEducation and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft) is a plus.

At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven track record of leading and managing infrastructure teams.

Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

Experience of technologies such as Veeam, SQL, Office 365, VMware would be advantageous.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in network and system administration, including experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

Strong understanding of virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

Soft Skills

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
