Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational management of the IT Infrastructure team
Monitor and report on service requirements and contribute to the ongoing development of infrastructure
Ensure the delivery of a resilient, recoverable, and high-performing infrastructure using industry best practices
Document, audit, and continuously improve all team processes
Contribute to the implementation of the organisation's IT strategic vision
Ensure all infrastructure is designed with security in mind
Build and manage relationships with vendors and service providers
Coordinate and deliver cross-functional initiatives and projects
What We're Looking For:
Solid technical background in infrastructure support, with the ability to operate in a hands-on capacity
Proven leadership skills and experience managing change
Experience supporting infrastructure in a multi-site, SME environment
Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver technical projects (e.g. rollouts, upgrades, migrations)
Familiarity with a broad range of IT infrastructure hardware and technologies: Microsoft M365, Active Directory, Azure, VMware, storage and backup systems, and both Windows Server and Linux operating systems
Strong networking skills including firewalls, TCP/IP, subnetting, routing/switching
Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Exposure to AWS and block storage is a plus
Critical thinker able to evaluate and adapt systems and procedures effectively
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas simply and clearly
Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening and effective questioning
