Job Summary:
Teledyne Raymarine (part of Teledyne FLIR) is a leader in the Marine Electronics industry, we design and manufacture cutting edge products covering a wide range of technologies, including Radar, Sonar, Cameras, Chart Plotters and Instruments, destined for an array of markets including leisure, first responders and commercial.
We are seeking an experienced hands-on IT Manager to join our IT team working from our office in Fareham, Hampshire.
Our ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic go-getter who has a passion for continual improvement and could aid us to take our IT department to the next level. As well as being a hands-on support resource the role would include some light managerial tasks.
The role would be varied and suit somebody who has come through their IT support career from the ground up and enjoys the concept of "a little bit of everything". IT Support roles are often defined on a 1st, 2nd, 3rd line tiering system; this role requires somebody who can work a little at all these levels as well as possessing good managerial / team leadership skills.
Responsibilities

• Managing a team of 4 IT Staff members.
• Day to day management of IT operation(s).
• Monitoring of KPI's
• Monitoring of tickets, including escalating where required
• Liaising between the local site and Enterprise IT teams (Infrastructure, Apps etc)
• Supporting the wider enterprise IT management team to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and corporate governance.
• Liaising with Teledyne business stakeholder to ensure IT are meeting the needs of the local business.
• Onsite IT Support for Raymarine; working as part of a virtual IT team to provide customer support, troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and requests (tickets). Where a resolution cannot be found then you would be expected to escalate accordingly.
• By IT support we refer to multiple proficiencies, such as but not limited to:
• End users and their equipment. For example, PC's and Laptops running a Microsoft Windows environment
• Printer installation, networking, configuration, and troubleshooting
• An array of Microsoft applications such as Office, Visio, Project etc.
• Ensure compliance of and react to information from Enterprise Anti-Virus and other security tools.
• Mobiles phones (iPhone & Android)
• Servers, switches, and wireless access points in conjunction with a remote Infrastructure team.
• New user configuration and setup via Active Directory
• Troubleshooting issues that the IT Service Desk have not been able to resolve remotely.
• Liaising with hardware and software vendors to resolve and related issues.
• Support and maintenance of conference room equipment such as video conferencing systems, conference phones etc.
• Acting as a "point of contact" for day-to-day IT support. Not all incidents will arrive with you via a ticketing platform. The role requires somebody dynamic who can work effectively on the fly responding to requests from multiple angles and subsequently prioritizing workload to achieve the required outcome.

• Maintain the onsite server room in line with enterprise standards.
• Maintain the outlying comms racks throughout the facility.
• Manage and maintain OU's within Active Directory including users, groups and objects.

Desirable Attributes

• At least 5 years IT support experience,
• Experience using an incident management system, such as ServiceNOW.
• Experience in a Team Leader or Manager role.
• Somebody who can think for themselves and work to ambiguous frameworks. Not everything within this support role will come with an instruction manual, our ideal person is somebody who can think outside of the box and progress situations on their own merit.
• A solid and robust understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system. Including how to manage and maintain computers attached to an Enterprise domain.
• Understanding of audit processes and requirements - conducting business in line with specific frameworks and processes.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to troubleshoot and support unfamiliar systems and applications using existing knowledge or the ability to seek out necessary resources
• Experience of supporting a manufacturing business and the concepts associated with that; ITIL, ERP / MRP, CAD etc.
• Desirable, any experience on using any CAD applications or Engineering applications
