IT Operations Analyst
Location: Watford
Salary: 45,000 - 48,000 DOE plus package
Summary
One of the UK's leading engineering and infrastructure companies are looking to hire an experienced IT Operations Analyst to join their team in Watford to work on large-scale, high-impact IT projects.
This is an exciting role for a highly motivated candidate who likes to be part of team, be regularly challenged in an evolving environment and is driven by repeat successes. This role will provide exposure to the most recent infrastructure related technologies available today such as cloud services SaaS, PaaS, IaaS.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day operational support for on-premises and cloud-hosted server environments and networks.
• Work closely with the Application Support to help resolve service issue.
• Ensure that all network infrastructure, servers, and associated systems are maintained, supported, and developed to provide secure and available data services to 6500 IT users across 300 locations in the UK
• Lifecycle management and continuous service improvement of IT infrastructure.
• Support change control, testing, and deployment of infrastructure services.
• Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure high levels of service delivery.
• Always maintain IT security and assist in the upkeep of security accreditations.
• Strong operational skills and mindset.
• Mentor and be mentored - sharing environment where we succeed together
• Expect to identify and resolve issues - then monitor and design them out.

Essential Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in an Infrastructure Operations role
• Strong expertise in IaaS (Windows/Linux), Azure networking, monitoring and alerting, Azure Entra/On Prem AD, Windows Server, and PowerShell scripting.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft infrastructure product stack
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V and high availability failover clustering.
• Microsoft Data Protection Manager
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• Strong knowledge of resilient LAN/WLAN and WAN infrastructure/technologies
• Palo Alto Firewalls, Zscaler ZIA, ZPA
• Fortinet Firewalls, Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer
