This is a senior leadership position within the IT department, reporting to the Head of IT. The role is focused on leading the delivery of secure, high-performing, and highly available IT support and infrastructure operations. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality technical support services, maintain robust IT infrastructure, and drive continuous improvement across IT operations.
You will lead and integrate operational and infrastructure teams, implementing ITIL best practices to deliver exceptional service standards. The scope of this role includes IT service desk, hardware and software assets, configuration and change management, servers, IP networks, storage, and cloud services.
The post holder will also contribute to the development of technology strategy aligned with ScotRail's organisational objectives, while staying current with emerging technologies. This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office and participation in the ScotRail IT On-call rota.
