Job Description

• Developing an IT procurement category strategy to drive the maturity of procurement internally
• Improve/enhance collaboration across the various divisions and operating companies to identify procurement opportunities and to deliver against them.
• Delivery of the businesses strategic objectives and savings plan
• Develop appropriate procurement and contracting strategies that meet the demands of the investors and the EU/country legislation
• Category management of IT. Developing and implementing a category strategy covering spend of over \xc2\xa320m
• Maintaining close liaison with stakeholders, and cross functional team members as well as end users to ensure a co-ordinated and structured approach to all aspects and phase of the procurement process

Key Skills:

• A strong track record of procurement or commercial experience in a strategic or group role for an organisation with multiple business units in multiple countries
• Demonstrable delivery across multiple indirect categories, and ideally specialise in IT procurement
• Strong success in delivering business value through savings and performance improvements
• Excellent knowledge of procurement legislation, bid tendering, contract management and supplier management including knowledge of EU procurement law
• You can demonstrate advanced negotiating skills.
• An ability to analyse spend, understand the business context and extract key facts to deliver improvement and opportunities
• Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills
• CIPS/MCIPS/Equivalent qualification would be favourable
