IT Project Manager - 400-500 per day - Hybrid

The client is a leading business in the wholesale and electronics sector. They are looking to immediately hire an interim IT project manager to support their digitalisation programme (2-3 days per week, hybrid working from home). The IT project manager will be the interface on behalf of our client and will drive all aspects of the projects to deliver both a new commercial website and various apps in development with two external software houses.

Duties

Drive the development and launch of a commercial website and several business applications Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Utilise project management software to track progress, manage risks, and report on project status. Oversee and manage two external third party developers (software houses) Work through Jira and Agile, to deliver the apps and website projects to budget, standard and time Plan, track, document, liaise and manage the projects effectively, providing timely updates, visibility and reports for internal / external stakeholders.

Experience

Previous IT Project Management experience of leading and delivering multiple projects simultaneously Previous experience of project managing the delivery of websites and applications Previous experience of managing external third party providers / software houses Having excellent communication skills, both written and oral and engaging stakeholders effectively
Excellent project governance, organisational and documentation skills, being able to generate reports and updates as required

Proficient in using project management software tools for tracking progress and reporting.
You must have proven experience of having project managed the delivery of both applications and websites previously, along with experience of Jira and Agile. This project is 2-3 days per week and is likely to last 3-6 months. It is a hybrid role which greatly allows for working from home, with occasional on-site attendance in the Essex area. Any experience of writing or implementing test scrips would be an advantage and we are looking to start the successful candidate immediately.
