Job Description

A well known NHS organisation based in Nottingham is seeking to recruit an IT Project Manager for a 4-6 month initial contract to start asap, 1-2 days on site per week paying 300/day inside IR35.
This role has been created to lead the implementation of a secure, customer-facing data analytics solution within the NHS organisation embedding an external Power BI dashboard in the existing systems.
Key day to day responsibilities

• Plan, manage and effect change within a complex technical environment

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the data analytics product.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan using Agile methodologies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, data and infrastructure, cybersecurity, communications, and marketing.
• Engage with external IT service providers (e.g., Tata Consultancy Services).
• Manage risks, conflicts, and dependencies across stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with NHS data governance and security standards.
• Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and maintain accountability across teams.
• Plan external communications

Key experience

• Proven experience delivering IT/data platform projects in public sector or regulated environments.
• Experience with Power BI and SQL Server
• Strong understanding of data infrastructure, architecture, and cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with Agile project delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.

Technical/Professional Skills

• IT Project Management (preferably with public sector experience).
• Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Risk and conflict resolution.
• Understanding of NHS data governance and compliance (desirable).
• Experience with data product lifecycle and external data delivery.
• Experience of Data and Analytics deliveries including tools such as Power BI, SQL Server
