Overview


We are seeking a meticulous and passionate Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be crucial in safeguarding the quality of our software throughout the entire development lifecycle. You will be involved in designing test strategies, executing manual and automated tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our products are reliable, functional, and user-friendly before they reach our customers.

Duties



Test Planning & Design:

Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to create detailed, effective test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Test Execution

: Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.

Defect Management:

Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA). Work closely with developers to isolate, reproduce, and verify fixes.

Test Automation:

Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for API, web, and mobile applications to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Process Improvement

: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure a shared understanding of quality goals.

Reporting:

Provide clear and concise test status reports and metrics to the team and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Required Skills



Essential:



Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).

Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.

Experience with API testing tools

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
