Are you ready to own and elevate IT risk management and cyber security in a growing, purpose-driven financial services organisation?


At Commsave, we believe in doing things the right way - for our members, our people, and the communities we serve. We're looking for a cyber-savvy, forward-thinking professional to join us as our in-house expert on all things IT risk and cyber security.


This is more than an IT role. It's your opportunity to lead from the front - shaping and delivering strategy, influencing culture, and protecting what matters.

What You'll Be Doing:

Acting as our go-to on IT risk and cyber security, setting the standard across our organisation. Leading our relationship with third-party IT providers - driving performance and ensuring we get the best from our partnerships. Owning and enhancing our SIEM system - monitoring, maintaining and developing robust baseline security protocols. Shaping and delivering our information security framework in line with ISO27001. Responding to incidents as part of our Disaster Recovery team and supporting our Business Continuity Planning. Rolling out practical, engaging cyber security training across teams to upskill and reduce organisational risk. Collaborating at a senior level to drive strategic improvements and advise the CEO on risk management and effectiveness.

What You'll Bring:

A solid track record in senior IT support or junior IT leadership roles, with a particular focus on information security. Working knowledge of ISO27001 and experience managing and developing SIEM systems. Accreditations such as CySA+, CISSP, or CEH are a strong plus. Confidence to work independently, bring new ideas to the table, and make things happen. A natural ability to support and influence others - even without direct line management responsibilities.

What You'll Get in Return:

A base salary of circa 44,000, depending on experience. Monday to Friday hours, with flexibility for home working as required. 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) and a supportive, people-first culture.
