Job Description

Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for an IT Service Analyst to join our IT team on a fixed-term contract, supporting the smooth running of IT operations and delivering high-quality technical support across the business.

The IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for IT queries for colleagues, and the team develop and deliver services to support colleague needs. As an IT Service Analyst in Nisbets, you will primarily be responsible for initial triage for all tickets raised on the IT Service desk, Telephone or "Walk ups" and being able to prioritise, fix or allocate to an IT specialism if more complex. The candidate will need to be effective to ensure a positive service provision is given to customers and all targets are met.

This is a fast-paced and varied role, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be working with customers using the ServiceDesk, telephone, Teams, email and face to face. Nisbets has a hybrid IT Estate and has a varied hardware and software catalogue for the applicant to learn and develop skills in.

This role will be based at our Fourthway office in Avonmouth, with flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working pattern after a period of training.

Key Accountabilities

Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues using the Helpdesk system, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Accurately log and manage service requests, incidents, and work logs within agreed SLAs. Communicate with internal customers via Helpdesk, email, phone, and face-to-face. Escalate complex issues to relevant IT team members or external support providers. Liaise with third-party suppliers and source IT equipment cost-effectively. Maintain logs of software and hardware issues and support the coordination of technical support. Provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider IT team.

Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required

Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Customer service focused with a team-oriented attitude. Motivated to learn new technologies and continuously improve. Previous experience with IT helpdesk systems is desirable. Hands-on experience with any of the following technologies is advantageous: Citrix XenApp, Windows Server 2016, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, VMWare 6.7, Teams Telephony, Network Security protocols.
