We're looking for a Field Service Engineer with solid IT foundations to join our growing team. While printer experience would be a bonus, it's not essential - we can teach you everything you need to know about our printing solutions. What we can't teach is your natural technical aptitude and passion for helping clients succeed.

Don't worry if you haven't used Managed Print Service software or specialist applications like PaperCut before - we'll provide full training. Your IT background means you'll pick up these software platforms quickly and confidently.

What You'll Be Doing



You'll become Eco Printers' technical expert in the field, ensuring our clients' printing infrastructure runs seamlessly. Working closely with our Client Success team, you'll be the go-to person for all technical matters at client sites.

You'll visit schools and offices to install, configure, and maintain printing equipment within their existing IT environments. Your networking knowledge will be crucial as you integrate our solutions with various network setups, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure optimal performance.

Think of yourself as the technical guardian of our client relationships - combining your IT expertise with excellent service to keep our promises of reliable, hassle-free printing.

This Role Is Perfect If You:



Have a strong IT background with hands-on hardware experience Understand networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs) Are comfortable installing and configuring peripherals Can troubleshoot connectivity and driver issues Enjoy working independently at client sites Can explain technical concepts to non-technical users Have excellent problem-solving skills Stay calm under pressure when systems need fixing Take pride in delivering professional service Are willing to learn printer-specific technologies

Your Day-to-Day Could Include:



Installing and configuring printers within client networks Troubleshooting network connectivity and printing issues Setting up print servers and managing print queues Configuring user access and security settings Performing preventive maintenance on equipment Documenting technical configurations and solutions Training staff on basic troubleshooting procedures Liaising with IT departments to ensure smooth integration Managing driver installations across different operating systems Providing remote support when on-site visits aren't needed

We're Looking For:



Essential:



Proven IT support experience (minimum 2 years) Strong understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure Experience installing and configuring hardware peripherals Valid driving licence Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Professional communication skills

Desirable:



Printer/MFP experience (but we'll train the right candidate) Experience with print management software or PaperCut (full training provided) Windows Server knowledge Active Directory experience CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification
