Job Description

DP World is currently recruiting for an IT Solutions Analyst for identifying, designing and implementing technology solutions that meet business needs and improve operational efficiency. This role will be a hybrid working role with travel required to sites across the UK and Europe when required.

About the role:

Support of new internal/external customer functionality requests at multiple locations. Develop scope, manage, and prioritize site IT Projects to ensure delivery on time and on budget. Develop SME skills in internal WMS application. Analyze customer requests versus system capabilities, developing functional requirements and oversee SDLC process to deliver enhancements to customer facilities. Prepare risk assessments (FMEAs) and review with core IT teams. Assist in RFQ (Request for Quote) submissions by providing analysis to determine software processes and hardware requirements. Assist with customer presentations which demonstrate DPW IT processes and software capabilities. Design process changes for DPW Warehouse Management System (WMS) Organize and/or attend customer/internal meetings to help ascertain IT requirements as required by plant management. Manage IT projects with key stakeholders IT solution & design of the engineering solution, operational and customer specific requirements Producing Functional Specifications to support the delivery of new business projects, customer change requests, and process improvements Working closely with Customers, IT Analyst team, Business Development teams, Engineering, Process Engineering & Operational teams Facilitation of solution design workshops Business Analysis, gap review, impact assessment, and documentation of Functional Requirements Design of practical, efficient, cost-effective solutions, and defining benefits, risks, recommendations Subject matter expert and point of contact for the overall solution throughout the project life-cycle Support/Assist project test phases - QA, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing Prioritizing tasks and issues in conjunction with IT PMO Integration Analysis - 3rd Party Solutions Design review, playback of software solutions

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Computer Science or a related field Strong Project Management skills with proven capability to deliver well-documented solutions on time Extensive experience with supply chain/logistics applications and processes Good understanding of database and schemas. General knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications Detailed knowledge and understanding of digital enterprise integration 5+ years delivering complex Warehouse Management, Supply Chain & Logistics solutions within a 3PL or commercial WMS environment Must have a proven background in database technologies including Progress, Oracle or SQL Server, SQLPlus and PL/SQL, MS Access.
Able to solve complex problems down to their constituent elements, formulate and evaluate a range of alternative solutions. Must have excellent conceptual design skills - an instinctive feel for which solutions 'fit' and which need rethinking. Experience with implementing, configuring and maintaining ERP/WMS software applications
