Role Overview
As an IT Support Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional technical support to our end-users through multiple channels, including email, telephone, remote desktop, and on-site visits. You will work independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot complex IT issues, maintain systems, and ensure seamless operations for our clients. This role demands a customer-centric approach, strong technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality technical support to end-users via a helpdesk system and direct client interaction, resolving issues across various platforms.
Proactively monitor servers, desktops, and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
Perform daily backup monitoring and manage server support and maintenance tasks.
Install and configure server operating systems and hardware, including maintenance and upgrades.
Support on-site client visits to address technical requirements and build strong client relationships.
Manage and prioritise IT support tickets to ensure timely resolution and client satisfaction.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of IT processes and systems.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years
of recent experience in a technical support role, with a proven track record of resolving complex IT issues.
Full UK driving license and own car
for making client site visits.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with a customer-focused mindset.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
In-depth knowledge of:
Windows Server and Windows 10/11 environments.
Active Directory administration.
Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure/Entra ID configuration.
DNS, DHCP, and IT networking (firewalls, switches, VLANs).
Virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Smartphone configuration (iOS, Android).
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA Network+).
Experience with Linux and macOS systems.
Familiarity with web hosting and domain registration processes.
Previous experience in corporate or education sector IT support.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must undergo and pass an enhanced DBS clearance as Monitor provides support to the education sector.
Relevant IT qualifications are highly desirable but not essential if experience is demonstrable.
