Job Description

Main Purpose

:

IT Support is a key role with responsibility for communicating and problem solving for the entire organisation to maintain line of business applications and security. The successful applicant will be able to interact using voice, face-to-face and messaging and be able to problem solve, learn on the job and request help from other sources when not able to deal with issues. The applicant will resolve user issues and have joint responsibility for administration of applications. The applicant will also be empowered to suggest, plan and implement changes to support the growth of the business.

Key Accountabilities

:

Security

: Maintain security standards and policies as set out and enforce best practice.

Understand Issues

: Understand why an issue is raised and the impact on the user.

Propose Actions

: Propose actions that the user can take to resolve issues they are experiencing.

Seek Advice

: If not able to resolve an issue, document and seek help from external resources and liaise with the resource and users to resolve the issue.

Tasks

: Manage, maintain, update and action outstanding tasks for the IT department. Maintain and keep up to date documentation (Manuals/Logs/Registers etc)

Users

: Onboard and offboard users to Company systems.

Applications

: Administer BoL applications security and setting on behalf of the IT department.

Meetings

: Attend regular meetings with key stakeholders and prepare notes and actions as needed.

Conformance

: Learn and maintain the conformity of systems in line with policy and prepare readiness and materials for audit.

Skills and Experience

:

Managing Microsoft 365 Suite and Azure environments. A solid understanding of cyber security and experience in dealing with end users in this context

Implementing and managing projects

Ability to manage separate support tasks

Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Working in an IT department supporting end users

Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT or related role

A good understanding of Microsoft OS, AD/AAD and networks

A good understanding of data protection principal and practice

Supporting desktops, laptops, phone for end users

Full UK Driving Licence

:

The role of IT Support involves all levels of the business at multiple UK sites. There is a variety of work and opportunity to be a part of a business that has an exciting vision for the future.

Work Environment

:

The successful IT Support applicant will work 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday at the Cwmbran office in Wales. Visits to off-site locations where Genmed users are located as and when required.
