We are looking for a proactive and personable IT Support Engineer to join our London-based client for a short-term contract, supporting new hire onboarding. You'll be the face of IT for incoming employees, ensuring a seamless experience from day one by managing hardware, software, and mobile device setup and support.
The Role:
Provide first-day support for new hires, including hardware/software setup (Mac 70% / PC 30%)
Troubleshoot issues with laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile applications
Respond to hardware and application-related queries and incidents
Collaborate with onboarding, HR, logistics, and vendors to ensure smooth employee integration
Use ServiceNow to track and resolve incidents and requests
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high levels of satisfaction
What you will bring:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in deskside or end-user support roles
Solid experience with MacOS, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic networking knowledge (AirWatch, SCCM, routers/switches)
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
Positive attitude and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
A+ or Network+ certifications
Experience supporting onboarding processes
Degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience
