Job Description
IT Support Engineer - Leading US proprietary trading organisation business expanding European office in London. The successful IT Support Engineer with join a niche team responsible for the day-to-day Infrastructure support for the front-office team in London, this will include desktop, server, network and application support. Very important the successful IT Support Engineer has experience of Windows and Linux environments.
The IT Support Engineer will:
- Work with front-office teams - Quant, Research, Trading departments to improve trading experience Support, monitor and automate business critical trading applications
- Deploy and support custom and monitoring applications for low-latency, high-frequency real-time trading
- Configure and support IT infrastructure across the business which will include; desktops, networks and servers.
- Monitor and suggest ways to improve latency
- Work with developers to optimise trading systems
- A degree in a STEM related subject
- Experience within Windows and Linux environments
- Scripting experience - Powershell, Python or Shell
- Knowledge of any of the following TT X_Trader, ORC, Bloomberg, RealTick, CQG or Actant
- financial market knowledge is required for this position
- Experience configuring, monitoring and support of business-critical systems
