IT Support Engineer (Temporary - November to Mid-January)
Location: Onsite Duration: ~7 weeks (Nov 2025 - Jan 2026)
Company: Virtue Vets
About Virtue Vets
Virtue Vets is a rapidly expanding group of modern veterinary clinics dedicated to compassionate, technology-driven pet care. We combine clinical excellence with digital innovation--using Provet Cloud, Microsoft 365, and integrated automation tools to streamline operations and elevate client experience.
We're looking for a tech-savvy, organised, and reliable IT & Operations Coordinator to maintain business continuity. This role ensures our digital systems, clinic IT infrastructure, and operational workflows run smoothly across all sites during the holiday period.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT & Systems Support
Act as the first point of contact for staff IT queries and coordinate with vendors for escalations and onsite engineer visits.
Monitor and maintain connectivity across all clinics (internet, routers, UniFi Wi-Fi, telephony, and backup systems).
Manage Microsoft 365 user tasks: password resets, mailbox access, and onboarding/offboarding.
Oversee Provet Cloud, 3CX, SharePoint, and Intune device management consistency.
Ensure backups, MFA, and Intune compliance policies are functioning correctly.
Track and report device inventory (laptops, printers, scanners, phones, fobs, and network equipment).
2. Clinic IT Setup & Maintenance
Follow the established Clinic IT Setup Checklist to ensure all network, telephony, and printer systems remain operational.
Liaise with external partners (e.g., Virgin Media O2, OITS, Verisure, Mindray) for any service tickets or installations.
Confirm IVR and call-routing functionality in 3CX for all clinics.
Verify UniFi Protect cameras, door fobs, and access systems are online and synced.
3. Digital Back Office Operations
Maintain documentation within the Digital Back Office Blueprint 2025 framework ensuring consistent naming conventions, folder access, and permissions.
Support Power Automate workflows for approvals, leave forms, and onboarding tasks.
Perform light data administration within Provet Cloud, Breathe HR, and Microsoft office suite/SharePoint.
Check that daily and weekly automated reports (performance dashboards, rota updates) continue to run smoothly.
4. Vendor & Communication Management
Coordinate with vendors, ISP providers, and security vendors for support tickets.
Communicate proactively with clinic managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Log all technical and operational issues and provide end-of-period summary reports.
Requirements
Prior experience in IT coordination, operations, or digital systems administration (ideally in multi-site setups).
Strong familiarity with:
o Microsoft 365 Admin, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive
o Provet Cloud or similar practice management software
o 3CX telephony and UniFi networking
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and ability to follow SOPs independently.
Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating remotely with vendors.
Preferred
Background in healthcare, veterinary, or clinical environments.
Experience using Power Automate or Zapier workflows.
Familiarity with GDPR compliance and device security policies.
