We have an opportunity for an IT Support Lead to join us. You'll manage a growing team of IT Support Technicians to provide support to our 250+ clients.
You will be based at both our head office in Warrington and our satellite office in Heywood to provide a prompt and efficient service for our clients. You will spend two or three days per week in each office.
Improving our clients' user experience is very much at the core of this role, as a result the tasks and projects involved can be varied providing some great opportunities to learn and develop. You'll need to have a great approach and be totally customer focused.
The team you will manage is not a 1st line or 2nd line support team but provides an all-round support service where they use their extensive knowledge and experience to resolve our clients' IT issues from start to finish.
We're looking for someone with a passion for technology, who has the ability to learn quickly and can find new solutions to enhance our clients' use of their technology resources.
What you'll be doing:
Manage, on a day-to-day basis, a small, but growing team, of Technology Support Technicians. Initially this will be supported with mentoring by our Head of IT Support.
Facilitate your team to provide technology support across our clients' sites via phone, remote support software, email and in person.
Ensuring the IT Helpdesk is used effectively and service delivery is in line with our clients' expectations.
Supporting your team to:
Investigate and resolve technical incidents.
Manage and maintain hardware and software inventories.
Carry out printer setup and troubleshooting.
Setup Internet connections and troubleshooting speed and connection issues.
Support Microsoft Windows, Office and Microsoft 365.
Manage active directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
Configure and support the setup of mobile devices, PCs, laptops and servers.
Deploy and support antivirus solutions.
Provide audio visual support.
Carrying out site visits to lead your team when installing hardware and software.
Actively researching new technology which may provide cost or efficiency savings.
Planning and delivering projects with the aim of improving end user experience.
Planning and delivering site installations of network infrastructure, CCTV systems and telecoms systems.
Identify key training requirements for your team.

You'll be skilled at Windows and Microsoft Office and have qualifications to demonstrate this.
You'll be able to come up with innovative solutions - especially when under time pressure.
You'll have a keen interest in technology and a willingness to learn - that's important.
You must be great with numbers and highly literate.
You'll pay attention to detail - it really matters and is an absolute requirement.
You'll be an excellent communicator and able to interact with people on a human level - including on the phone and in person.
If you have excellent organisational skills and are always prepared for the task in hand you're someone we'd like to talk to.
You must know how to find new solutions that could enhance our ways of working and our clients' use of their technology resources.

As well as a competitive salary, we offer:
Hours of work: 37.5 hours, normally Monday to Friday, but occasional weekend or bank holiday working may be required.
Flexi time is available to accommodate business and personal requirements between 07:00 and 19:00 - depending on travel and business requirements when working away from the office you may need to start earlier and/or finish later. Core-time - when you must be working - is 10:00 to 15:00.
Holidays: 28 days per year which includes bank holidays.

Car mileage allowance when using your own vehicle. However, the company does have a fleet of vehicles which you would normally use when making client visits.
