We're a housing association, here to provide safe, affordable homes and to build stronger communities across the Midlands. And we're offering students the chance to intern in our Technology & Transformation Team -- where you'll gain hands-on experience supporting software systems, data analysis, and cybersecurity in a fast-paced dynamic organisation.



Summer Internship:

10 weeks starting 15th June 2026.



You'll apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges - working alongside experienced IT and Data professionals whilst gaining insight into software maintenance, data reporting, cybersecurity compliance, and technical support. You'll develop a first-hand appreciation of how our IT systems support projects that improve services and data accuracy -- directly benefiting colleagues and tenants.



Your day to day will see you:



Supporting the maintenance of software systems and assisting with the testing of new features and system updates.



Analysing sets of data relating to housing repairs and customer services to produce impactful reports and dashboards.



Assisting with cybersecurity checks and promoting good data protection practices to ensure GDPR compliance.



Providing first-line technical support to colleagues, helping to log, track, and resolve IT queries.



Contributing to digital transformation projects by supporting project administration and tracking key actions.



Taking part in project work, mentoring, and development activities as part of your internship.



What we're looking for:



Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.



A strong analytical mindset with an interest in how data and software improve business performance.



Good written and verbal communication skills for engaging with internal stakeholders.



Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, with an interest in learning new software, databases, and reporting systems.



Enthusiasm, openness to feedback, and a genuine desire to learn.
