We are currently recruiting for a new stand-a-lone vacancy, IT Systems Engineer & Support Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be a key member of the Browns Distribution team and be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, improvement and development of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS).

This position will also involve managing and implementing new systems, managing various cloud-based software, overseeing hardware for all areas of the business including warehouse, transport, and back office as well as liaising with our 3rd Party IT provider.

This role gives someone the opportunity to shape how our IT framework, processes, procedures and structures move forward.

Some of the key duties are:



Providing technical support to employees, resolving any IT related issues quickly & efficiently. Implementing IT Policies and procedures to ensure best practices. Knowledge and experience of a variety of technology trends, technology and systems to support continuous improvement. Ensuring the internal IT structure of the Company remains robust and efficient. Making sure software upgrades, user training, troubleshooting and network management is regularly reviewed and completed. Deploying security tools and policies to safeguard Company information. Supporting colleagues in resolving IT problems, assisting with onboarding new starters and existing employees setting up new equipment, and providing guidance on policies and systems. Ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of all Company systems. Scheduling and managing regular updates. Primary point of contact for all development/issues. Coordinating with customer service and account management teams to address client-specific requirements and provide tailored solutions. Develop project plans, timelines and budgets and manage IT projects to ensure successful project delivery. Develop the WMS and TMS systems.
This role requires someone who has a high level of knowledge & experience. Proven experience in working with WMS and TMS or similar systems within a logistics or supply chain environment.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget.

Familiarity with cloud-based applications and IT infrastructure management.

You must have success in a similar position, where you have managed systems in a distribution and warehousing operation. You should be capable of manging your time effectively and consistently meet targets and deadlines with this being a stand-a-lone role.
