IT Systems & Information Manager
to oversee and develop our IT infrastructure and digital services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the digital operations that support outstanding clinical care.
Role Overview:
As the
IT Systems & Information Manager
, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation, security, and strategic development of our IT systems. You'll ensure our clinical systems run smoothly, support data management and reporting, lead user training, and contribute to the practice's digital transformation agenda. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, quality, and compliance of our service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
Maintain and support the practice's IT network, email systems, clinical software, and hardware. Oversee daily backups and ensure system security and compliance.
Data Reporting & Management:
Develop and run audits and reports to support patient care, clinical targets, and operational analysis. Ensure data quality and appropriate coding.
Training & Support:
Provide training and first-line support for clinical and administrative staff. Maintain user guides and deliver IT induction for new team members.
Technical Liaison:
Act as the main contact with external IT providers and system suppliers. Coordinate system updates, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
IT Strategy & Compliance:
Support the Practice Manager in implementing the IT strategy, including risk management, GDPR compliance, and cybersecurity best practices.
Operational Support:
Assist with administrative duties when needed, including template creation and IT input into audits and quality frameworks (e.g., QOF).
Essential Criteria:
Experience in an IT administration or management role, ideally within healthcare or a GP practice.
Proficiency in managing networks, clinical systems (e.g., EMIS or similar), and office software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present data.
Excellent communication and training abilities.
Knowledge of data protection regulations and IT security best practices.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience in NHS digital systems and understanding of NHS targets, audits, and reporting frameworks.
Relevant qualifications in IT, data management, or health informatics.
Experience in project management or digital transformation in a healthcare setting.
