Job Description

The Pathology Department at LCL is looking to recruit an Pathology IT Systems Lead role.



We are looking for someone who is committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a solid understanding of IT and pathology data flows and experience of working in an NHS laboratory or similar environment.



This post holder will support the Head of Pathology IT and Laboratory Managers, assisting with setting up, training, and troubleshooting of the pathology IT system. This role is focussed on the maintenance of the laboratory information management system (LIMS), but may involve other systems including digital pathology and other laboratory based solutions

Job Summary



To be considered for the role you must have the appropriate experience and knowledge in working in a hospital pathology laboratory or similar healthcare environment (as documented in the person specification).

Working with the Directorate Managers in the running of the LCL IT

Systems by supporting the Trust's requirements of both clinical and nonclinical systems, providing professional execution of Incident, Request



Fulfilment, Change, Configuration and Problem Management;



Managing with software and hardware installations, specifications, testing and

service transition; including but not limited to LIMS and Middleware



Providing professional support (related to pathology) to the Trust Digital team

across the functions within the IT department.



Complying with corporate governance structures in keeping with the principles

and standards, as set out by the Trust.
