It Systems Project Engineer

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Systems Projects Engineer. The role will involve working within a small, dynamic, high-performing team, the role is focused on providing IT & systems support across the UK & I businesses. The location for this role is based between our two Midlands sites in Wednesbury and the Ashby area. where the successful candidate will spend two to three days at each site weekly. This role does not allow for remote working.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Engaging with internal customers and supporting the business's drive to adopt and continuously improve our use of IT applications and systems within Swegon.


The role primarily focuses on supporting the business, but also looking at providing more value from our IT estate and supporting and leading projects. From working on established, defined projects to scoping new projects, defining clear project justification, seeking approval, and creating detailed project plans, including associated commercial costs.


Working with key stakeholders at all levels within the business to review project requests and provide clear, achievable solutions, and managing projects agreed to adopt a continuous improvement methodology to drive better ROI from our IT systems to support business growth.


Providing hands-on IT support to the UK & Ireland businesses, including scoping new technology and providing core IT services and IT Infrastructure support.


The role will include elements of cross-support within the small team and group, including working closely with key supplier partners, including our MSP, who provides core AD and 1st line support.

Essential experience:



Computer science Maths & English 1st and 2nd line IT support experience Desktop management experience Server OS management Networking experience TCPIP, WI-FI IT security Project experience Good presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organisational skills Able to work remotely Strong time management skills Strong IT skills, including word and spreadsheets. Strong numeracy skills Able to understand complex technical concepts. Ability to get on well with a wide variety of people and teams Capacity to learn quickly Attitude in accordance with company values Decision-making and using initiative Keen to take on additional responsibility to develop own skills and experience Ability to work with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
