Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS) to Upper Pay Scale (UPS), dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a qualified and enthusiastic IT Teacher to join one of our partner specialist schools in the Totton area. This role is ideally suited to a teacher with experience supporting students with additional needs and adapting curriculum content to meet a range of learning abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible IT and computing lessons to students with special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated IT and computing lessons
Adapt curriculum content to ensure accessibility for students with a range of additional needs
Support students in developing digital literacy, problem-solving and independent learning skills
Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers
Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
Support students' social, emotional and behavioural development
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience teaching IT/Computing at KS3 and/or KS4
Experience working with pupils with SEN in mainstream or specialist settings
Strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching strategies
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
A patient, proactive and empathetic approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
