The Role:
As part of our ongoing expansion, we currently have an opening for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Technician to become part of our IT team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in IT to gain hands on experience and develop their skills.
This is a full-time, office-based role where you will report directly to the IT Manager and provide day to day support to end users and assist with the maintenance of our systems. While formal qualifications are not essential, we are looking for someone with a genuine passion for IT and a willingness to learn are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support to end users via phone, email, and in person, addressing a wide range of IT queries and issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems affecting desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, including hardware malfunctions, connectivity problems, and print quality. Manage printer supplies, including monitoring toner levels and arranging for replacements.
Diagnose and resolve software-related issues across various applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite and business specific software.
Under the guidance of the IT Manager, assist with the day-to-day maintenance of IT systems, including physical and virtual servers, networking equipment, and other IT devices.
Install, configure, and upgrade software applications and operating systems on end-user devices.
Assist with the installation, setup, and maintenance of computer hardware components and peripherals.
Assist with the monitoring and management of data backup processes, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Support users with business-specific applications, including SAP B1, Access forms and databases, and Crystal Reports (training will be provided).
Assist with the creation and modification of Access forms and SQL reports.
Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of IT documentation.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the IT Manager.
About You:
A demonstrable genuine interest in IT.
Tech-savvy with a good understanding of basic computer hardware and software.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and common software applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical approach to tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
A proactive and can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
While not essential, any basic knowledge of coding languages such as HTML, PHP, JavaScript, or SQL would be advantageous.
A strong work ethic and a reliable approach to tasks.

Salary Guide:
Up to 26,000 per annum, depending on the candidate's existing skills and potential.
