Job Description


ROLE PURPOSE:

The IT Trainer is responsible for identifying training needs, producing up to date training materials and designing and delivering engaging training for a range of IT systems and processes used throughout the organization. GBS implementing several key systems across the whole organization, that will be key to supporting high quality processes and an optimal student experience. The IT trainer\xe2\x80\x99s responsibility would be to ensure all staff are trained on these systems and are able to use these systems according to their role.

  • Carry out training needs analysis and adapt training delivery to suit staff needs and abilities.
  • Design training programmes appropriate to the skills needed
  • Deliver training courses using a variety of media for IT systems
  • Create and maintain training documentation, user manuals and LMS materials.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and learning outcomes.
  • Develop a training plans and revolve any training gap issues.
  • Assist implementation and roll out of new systems.
  • Research and develop new methods of training delivery to ensure skills are kept current and to match industry standards.
  • Support our central support team with training queries from our helpdesk as well as provide internal training to other departments.
  • Ensure all staff are trained to use new and existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain a network of super users for the new student records and other systems.
  • Degree in an IT Discipline or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience delivering systems training to users through a variety of different mediums.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based Information Systems.
  • Strong communication skills. Experience delivering training to large user groups and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver training sessions face to face, online, provide distanced learning and coaching.
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training material.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft systems and excellent general IT competence.
  • End user training in a large corporate environment.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working as System Trainer in a Higher Education Institution
  • Advanced Knowledge of cloud-based Information Systems
  • Experience of delivering training for a Student Record Management System
  • Knowledge of Higher Education processes.
  • End user training in a large corporate environment
  • Knowledge of Higher Education processes and systems but not limited to Unit4, EventMap, and Tribal SITS.
