We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic IT Tutor to join our team at Campsfield IRC. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible IT training sessions to adult learners within a secure environment. Your primary focus will be to develop and deliver high-quality learning programmes that support learners at various stages, from complete beginners to those seeking to enhance their IT skills. You will create lesson plans, adapt teaching materials, and provide 1:1 or group support to ensure learners achieve their individual learning goals.
Key responsibilities include assessing learners' needs, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and achievement. You will also contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment, working collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to promote learner engagement and progression. The role requires you to stay up to date with current IT developments, ensuring that the training provided is relevant and in line with best practice. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners is a critical aspect of this role, and you will be expected to adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), solid IT skills, and experience of teaching or training adults. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds. Previous experience working in a secure or custodial environment is desirable but not essential.
