We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to provide technical assistance and support to our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. Duties
Provide desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Manage computer hardware components and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance.
Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewall configurations, and Active Directory management.
Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office suite, Windows Server environments, SCCM, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and other enterprise applications.
Monitor and maintain network security protocols; assist with firewall management and VPN connectivity issues.
Utilise analysis skills to diagnose complex technical problems and implement effective solutions.
Document support activities using ticketing systems
Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system performance and user experience.
Provide excellent customer service through clear communication and professional assistance.
Experience
Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles within a multiple locations.
Strong knowledge of computer networking principles including LAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, and firewall configuration.
Hands-on experience with desktop support across Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with Active Directory administration and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
Experience supporting enterprise software such as SCCM, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or Jira is highly desirable.
Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and computer hardware components is essential.
Understanding of security protocols including VPNs and firewall management is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
