Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including training and mentoring junior team members
Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of meals
Oversee food presentation to ensure visual appeal and quality standards are met
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene practices at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during serving hours
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Team management skills, including training, motivating, and supervising staff effectively
Experience in food production, catering, or culinary arts programmes is advantageous
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
