Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure consistency and excellence.

Skills

Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Comprehensive culinary experience with a passion for cooking and creativity in menu development. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within the hospitality industry. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
