Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency in meal preparation
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen environment
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and hospitality standards
Ensure compliance with health regulations and organisational policies at all times
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management responsibilities
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food safety practices
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, presentation skills, and kitchen equipment operation
Experience in hospitality environments with excellent customer service skills
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and maintaining high standards of quality
