Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth food production processes. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available for menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with management to develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends. Train new staff members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Monitor food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency across all dishes served.

Skills

Proven experience in a culinary role with a strong emphasis on food preparation and cooking. Supervising experience in a kitchen environment is essential for effective team management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within the hospitality industry. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous Italian restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing an understanding of customer service expectations. A passion for culinary arts, demonstrating creativity in menu planning and dish presentation.
