La Mia Mamma, Made in Italy and Fish & Bubbles are esteemed Italian restaurant groups located primarily in the West and South West areas of London, with a combined total of 7 sites. Our restaurants are known for serving authentic Italian cuisine, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high-quality standards. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our team as the Group Operations Director.

Position Summary:

As the Group Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational team to ensure the smooth running of all restaurants within the La Mia Mamma, Made in Italy and Fish & Bubbles groups. You will play a key role in coordinating the development and growth of our restaurant portfolio while maintaining the company's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management

:

Oversee the daily operations of all existing and upcoming restaurants, ensuring consistently high-quality service, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity across the restaurant group. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement and actively work with the operational team to implement corrective measures.

2. Team Management:

Recruit, train, and develop a competent and motivated operational team. Establish clear performance objectives and conduct periodic performance evaluations for all team members. Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, teamwork, and employee growth.

3. New Site Openings:

Collaborate with the executive team to plan and execute the opening of new restaurants. Oversee the preparation and implementation of all operational aspects, including staffing, equipment, inventory, and general setup. Ensure adherence to construction timelines and budgets for new sites.

4. Financial Management:

Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets, control costs, and improve profitability across the restaurant group. Develop strategies to maximize revenue through innovative operational practices and customer satisfaction.

5. Quality Control:

Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service across all sites. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and licensing regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Director within the restaurant industry, preferably within an Italian cuisine-focused setting. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Sound financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost control. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English (both written and verbal). Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.

The Operations Director:

Currently in a director / head of operations role in a restaurant business. Proven experience in a senior leadership, supporting a midsize business scale up and expand. Career wide experience in hospitality, with excellent knowledge of structured service, restaurant. Extensive Openings experience and some knowledge of working with investors. Strong systems and process knowledge as well as great food knowledge Mentor and guide your team, building a collaborative and supportive workplace. An individual who can see a vision and commit to something long term, leading autonomously while working closing with the founder to deliver their vision.
