MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF ROMAN CUISINE

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Italian Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have not only extensive knowledge and experience of Roman cuisine but also strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production and safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and managing a team of cooks to maintain our restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Experience in menu planning, food production, and cost control. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
