The role of an IT/IS Lead within the HS2 Euston programme is to lead all aspects of digital services delivery on the programme. It requires a mixture of experience of IT and Digital solutions and services typically deployed on construction projects and programme, with effective project delivery, and problem solving. As the Lead role, you will be responsible for the management of the IT function and team working on the programme. The end customer is the body of people working on the project that need functional and efficient digital technologies and solutions to help then plan, manage, control, and deliver the project.
You'll be responsible for:
Act as the main point of contact for all IT facilities, services, and IT support services matters.
Asset Management
Budgeting and forecasting IT spend for the Euston Project
Vendor Management and procurement of IT
Ensuring a support wrap has been arranged for all IT on project, hardware & software
Ensuring all site offices have the necessary IT infrastructure, including structured cabling, set-up and on-going maintenance.
Being point of contact for all IT service requests on project (software, hardware) and raising tickets through ServiceNow for these as approved
Managing the IT process for new starters and leavers into the JV
Managing IT support resource to ensure all issues are resolved
Explore continuous improvement avenues within own workstream and project
Work closely with the IS team to ensure MDJV comply to ISO27001
Keep IT Management plans and relative documentation up to date
Gathering requirements from project colleagues and business users and working with Business Analysts for new software.
Lead the IT and IS Team on the Programme
Develop and keep your business and technical knowledge and networks current and continuously improving.
You'll need to have:
Experience as a IT Lead or supporting a IT Lead on one or more previous major construction projects or programmes.
IT/Digital industry awareness including standard IT methodologies including waterfall, agile.
IT operating model awareness such as how IT departments work, outsourcing, and key IT roles and responsibilities.
Knowledge of ISO27001 and associated practices.
Technology supplier management.
System and enterprise architecture.
Technology support.
People management in direct and matrix management modes.
Information security, data protection and risk assessment.
You'll also have:
