About the Department
IT Services provides essential support to all areas of the University, helping to deliver high-quality, secure, and innovative IT systems and services that underpin both academic and administrative work. Within this, the
ITS3 team
(IT Support Staff Services) plays a key role in supporting the wider community of IT staff across the collegiate University, delivering training, events, licensing support, and career development services. We are a small, collaborative, and friendly team who take pride in offering a consistent and responsive service.

to join the ITS3 team on a
permanent basis

Hybrid working will be available; however, you will be required to work on site in central Oxford at least two days per week, with the expectation of additional on-site presence to support events and team activities as needed.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering a varied and well-organised administrative service in a role that supports the development of IT professionals across the University. You will play a key part in coordinating a programme of career professional development (CPD), liaising with training providers, and managing communications with delegates. You'll also support the logistics and planning for events including the ICTF conference and supplier activities.
In addition to supporting learning and development, you'll also contribute to the team's operational resilience by taking on shared service responsibilities such as handling licences, raising purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, and monitoring shared mailboxes. You will work closely with the Head of ITS3, the Senior Administrator, and other stakeholders across the University.
This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively, developing your administrative skills while contributing to a well-regarded support service in a welcoming and dynamic team.
About You
We are seeking someone who can demonstrate the following: Experience in an administrative role, with the ability to handle and triage communications effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence liaising with staff and external suppliers.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently and maintain attention to detail.
Competence using Microsoft Office tools to support administration and improve productivity.
A collaborative approach, with a willingness to support colleagues and follow guidance when needed.
