will oversee the day-to-day running of the IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement) department -- from case setup through to approval and ongoing client management. You'll manage a team of case officers and administrators, ensuring processes are followed, deadlines are met, and client outcomes are consistently positive.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the IVA process, compliance, and client journey.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end IVA process, ensuring smooth case flow from proposal to approval.
Manage and mentor the IVA team, providing training, support, and performance management.
Ensure all cases comply with FCA, Insolvency Service, and internal compliance standards.
Liaise with IPs (Insolvency Practitioners), creditors, and introducers to resolve queries promptly.
Review key operational metrics, drive productivity, and implement process improvements.
Manage workload distribution and ensure SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved.
Oversee quality assurance checks and internal audits.
Identify areas for process automation or efficiency gains.
Report regularly to senior management on team performance, case progression, and compliance matters.
Act as a point of escalation for complex client cases or operational issues.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Minimum 3 years' experience in the IVA, debt management, or insolvency sector.
Strong understanding of the IVA lifecycle, compliance, and regulatory framework.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable:
Previous experience managing a high-volume IVA operation.
Familiarity with insolvency software (e.g., IPS, Vision Blue, or similar).
Understanding of other personal insolvency products.
