Jig Fabricator

IAE require a full time Jig Fabricator to join our jig and fixture fabrication team.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and maintenance of jigs and fixtures used in our production and assembly facilities, to support the accurate, repeatable, and cost-effective production of IAE products.

Working closely with IAE's experienced team of Jig Design Engineers, Product Design Engineers, and robotic welding programmers the role requires close co-operation to continually improve jig designs and manufacturing efficiencies.

The Candidate:

As a successful candidate you will have proven experience of jig and fixture fabrication, tool fabrication, or be able to demonstrate steel fabrication skills of the highest level. Possessing a broad understanding of steel fabrication and welding processes, and ideally prior knowledge of robotic welding, you will be a pro-active candidate who can display an aptitude for problem solving as well as having an excellent eye for detail.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Experience in jig, fixture, tool fabrication or creation of high-quality steel fabrications.

Proven understanding of mild steel welding processes.

Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read highly detailed engineering drawings

The ability to communicate confidently at all levels.

And ideally possess:

Understanding of robotic welding and jigs to suit this process.

Assembly experience.

Have experience of pneumatic systems.

The above positions will be rewarded with a permanent contract, progressive rates of pay, 32 days paid holidays per year plus loyalty days (up to 34 days), auto-enrolment into our pension scheme which includes 5% employer contributions and employee life insurance.

Working 39 hours, Monday to Friday on a day shift 08:00am - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 15:30 Friday.

Pay: 17.10-18.64 per hour
