Job Description

We're looking for an experienced

Jig Manufacturer

to join our engineering team.
You'll be responsible for producing, maintaining, and refurbishing cooling and setting jigs and fixtures used in our production processes.

This is a practical, workshop-based role that requires good attention to detail, safe working practices, and a proactive approach to supporting production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture

cooling and setting jigs

and fixtures to specification. Maintain, repair, and refurbish existing jigs and tooling when required. Safely operate workshop equipment and machinery. Use overhead cranes for tool handling (training provided). Work closely with the Toolroom Manager to meet daily and project-based requirements. Maintain accurate standards of workmanship and ensure all equipment is in safe working condition. Support general toolroom operations and contribute to a clean, well-organised working environment. Carry out additional duties as needed to support production and engineering activities.

Health & Safety

Follow all company Health and Safety policies and procedures. Report any hazards, near misses, or incidents immediately. Use PPE correctly and maintain a tidy, obstruction-free workspace. Work in line with current Health & Safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974).

Training & Development

Training provided where required, including overhead crane operation. Opportunities for skills development and further training within the toolroom. Supportive working environment with focus on quality and safety.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:30

30-minute unpaid break

Full-time, permanent role
