Job Description

Due to our continued expansion, Cambrian Sporting are looking to recruit a Sporting & Clay Ground Assistant. This is a varied role which will grow around the successful candidate. This role would be ideal for a an individual looking to start their field-sports career. This will mainly be based at Dovey Valley Shooting Ground, Machynlleth.

Key responsibilities for this role would include:

Assisting our Sales Manager with shoot day sales

Working alongside our Shoot Coordinator to collate required information once days have been sold

Overseeing gun sales at our Dovey Valley Gunroom

Assisting the Dovey Valley Site Manager in day to day running of the ground

Occasional hosting of shoot days throughout the season

Training to teach occasional lessons at Dovey Valley

Responsibilities will change seasonally based around the business needs, giving the successful candidate opportunity to learn various areas of the business. We see this becoming a more specialised role as the candidate progresses based on their skills and interests.

Required skills for this role are:

Ability to communicate in person and over the phone

Organisational skills to ensure shoot planners are kept up to date

An understanding and keen interest in fieldsports and shotguns/firearms
